I did my french this year, I'm in year 9 but I speak (nearly) fluent French as I lived in Belgium. I'm hoping/expecting to get an A*.

Really. I am expectin a B in gcse french. Be glad with a C though.
Swapits Bobby i knjow it is a bit early but i thought we could discuss predicted grades and so on before we get them and do a countdown to the results.

Argh. I wish they'd give them out sooner, Lol. It kinda ruins the holidays if your worried about them. :P

It does ruin your holiday really doesnt it. You also have to make holidays fit around the results day and i go back to school one week later :x . If i get in sixth form that is.

Well I'm in year 9 and took the ICT GCSE short course, I'm expectin an A* because i got A* in my coursework, but I'm not sure how well I did in the exam! Here's to hoping!

I think I did quite well. I'm a bit disspointed I didn't get any A's but oh well. I got my needed 5 A*-Cs so I can stay on at school to do my A-levels.

well good luck lol you will need it. the ppl who mark the papers are very strict and pay attention to every small detail so be prepared and good luck :wink:

I dunno to be honest, I think it was listening in class and lots of praying! Oh and i think having to exaplin things again and again to my friends also drummed it all in! I wasn't predicted any A*s so it was a surprise. I'm still chuffed with them, and i think i will be for along time!

I am doing business studies too, (im in year 11 next year lol) So hopefully ill get a good mark like yours! 8) The practice tests weve done have been quite easy so hopefully ill get lucky when they give out the real exam papers!! lol

A*!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(It was a practise paper i bought from WHSmiths)
got 576/600!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was that in any particular subject?
Also i went off on holiday as soon as i got my AS's so i didn't get to post them, but i got an A in maths and high B's in both History and Chemistry - so i should be able to turn them into A's for next year.
I also took English literature, which i got a C in, and turned out to be totally messed up as i got full marks in my coursework (90/90) but i got a U in one of the modules (22/90) - and i always used to think you only got U's when you wrote 'Hey examiner, you are a bell end'.

:lol: I was in London when my result was announced (yes, just one) so I had to phone my school.
I'm in Year 10, but did English Literature a year early, and got A*! Kris, I also had full marks in my coursework: 80/80, only one in my school :mrgreen:
When I go back I get my Core Science results (I'm doing Triple Science; ie. three exams in each science: "Core, Additional and Separate")

I'm in year 10 and just got my results back for english media, I got a d  : : Very unhappy with that, but my school is one of the worst in the county

UPDATE!
I'm getting my English Media Re-marked and they are sending it back to the examination board including my coursework hopefully as I was only THREE MARKS FROM GETTING A C
I know, I know, Three marks.....to a C.
So hopefully I'll get my C, I don't really want a rubbish D.
Also I got B on my science, I'm doing BTEC Science not GCSE, But the two B's I've got allready equal to two B GCSE'S and I'll still got more to do so I hopefully will end up with 4 Science B grade GCSE'S
Will update you all soon again.
