Speeding Metabolic Rate...

Any of you fantastic people got any good tips on how to speed up your metabolism?

Ummm...

Exercising.

Eating more [smaller] meals a day, I.e. Instead of your basic Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner. Have Breakfast - Snack - Lunch - Snack - Dinner - Supper.

Green Tea

Being Cold & Being hot [[Sauna]]

Thats all i can remember :P But there is more.

Hot & spicey food speeds up your metabolism, like hot currys and thai food (my favourite). It works and like Qwerty said drinking green tea once a day also helps and is really good for you too.

I read on a site that 5 cups of green tea a day is good!

y noit just get dieting pills then theres no need to speed up metabolism.

5 cups of tea isn’t good for you, tea contains a lot of caffeine, which has bad side effects like insomnia, and makes you need to urinate more often. Same goes for diet pills.

Green tea doesn't contain as much caffiene as regular tea, so it would actually be good to drink 5 cups of tea a day

Although, I think 5 is a bit excessive :lol:

The rate at which you burn/use up energy from food.

excercising is the best but most people can't be bothered and make excuses like i have not got time or its to hard when you should always have time for yourself or else u will regret it lare on in life so just excercise

You should try and eat more vegetables, drink a lot of water, and green tea is also very good.
My mum is drinking green tea about 2 times per day and she is losing weight.

I do exercise! Around two hours a day.
But I think my best option is to drink Green Tea as well, and eat citrus fruits/grapes.

and drink orange juice. it burns carbs

Other factors are your moods and emotions. If your feeling a bit down your metabolism gets a bit slower, but if your exercising it will help bring your mood up. Whatever you do don't worry about it too much and don't feel down about it because it could make it slower.

It's not quite like that, but being depressed effects the body and can slow down the metabolism. It's different for everyone. Some people's metabolism speeds up a lot when they worry a lot and they find it very difficult to put on weight. I envy those people . Just try to enjoy things as much as you can and think happy thoughts it should help.

Oh so if people worry they can speed it up too? Well that obviously doesnt work for me :P
