Basically If Your In The Top 5% of your year at school then you are aparenlty 'Gifted & Taleneted' Basically at school you get watched on your progress and stuff and if you have weaknesses then you improve them..
Thats what it is in my school anyway, which we havegift and talent but im not one of them because im not as clever but check out the webiste.

i got kicked out of that thing in my skool wen i was in year 10 lol i messed about since year 7 but i was apparently gifted and talented and they took me and my mates on loadsa trips

I think my mate was doing something like that and he had to do loads of essay's we didn't have to do.

the letter was addressed to me and i got it last week so that means i am in year 11. the letter says that it is toi help me show the potential i have at skool in my exams.

Sorry if I bumped, but, we have one of these at our school and its like top whatever % of the year and last year they went to closest uni to us. I'm in it this year but we haven't been anywhere yet.

Yeh im part of this. It is basically what everyone has said. Its for the top 5% academically and it takes you until your 19. Its helps you get into colege and Uni quite a lot. But you dont have to do anything like essays ect. We dont anyway.

I was told it was the top 2%, and I'm in it. Now I'm labeled 'Mentally Gifted'. But we don't get any special treatment or anything. I haven't had that 'NAGTY' letter either...

Hey, I'm in this NAGTY thing as well. Me and me friend got called to this meeting at our school then they gave us letters to fill out. It was out of years 7, 8, 9 and 10 and there was only about 20 of us. I was pretty shocked. But anyway, it's pretty cool because it's free and it looks good on your CV etc. Membership also lets you visit their forums (full of nerds) and go on special summer schools and stuff.
There's some sort of criteria that you need to meet to be in it. I think I got in because I got over 126 in my CATs and a level 8 in my maths SAT. I'm pretty sure the criteria is on the internet somewhere.
