Helpy-me, have a stupid printer!!Ok so i want to install my printer on my laptop (had new laptop - printer is about 8 months old)
Everytime i install it with the installation disc it doesn't seem to install everything??
and when i go to print something out it says theres something wrong with the connection to the printer to the lappy, i've tried unistalling and re-installing checking the cables and restarting pc, still no luck
My laptop is a sony Vaio, my system is vista home premium and my printer is a lexmark all-in-one printer, scan and fax if thats any help?

Well, Vista doesn't really support older printers.
Are you sure that the printer is compatible with vista? Search the model number on the internet then post back here.
I Hate vista.

Unistall the driver then find you printer on http://support.lexmark.com/cgi-pe...ownloads.cgi&&req=:::-1:: and install the driver for vista and it should then work

Try changing the USB Lead which you connect to your printer to your computer/laptop.
I had a problem with the lead before, but a replacement fixed the problem

Now you realise why I hate vista. Its got tonnes of bugs in it which make it incompatible with slightly older hardware and software.

Haha. Your talking crap ^^. Its because you've got the driver disc for Windows XP. If you go on

Then find the printer you have, and download the VISTA version. Then install, restart computer (take usb cable out, and put it back in). Then it'll work =]
