they are compalining that people get hurt because of them. Well then should bikes, roller skates,skateboards, cars and stairs be banned also they cause accidents and there're not banned. It's people making a big deal about nothing yet again.

People are saying that the children are not properly trained to use them properly and they should be taught how to be safe with them, and tips etc

This young boy got run over and suffered permanent brain damage with these.
My friend was going to get my brother this as a birthday present but I stopped him as theyre waaay to dangerous for him. He already cant sit still and that lot and imagine what this would do to him.

I think heelies are really sad, everyone has them, its like the new craze :roll: My local shopping centre has banned them, because there was alot of kids scooting down the nice polished floors and having accidents lol :P
Anyway, I'd never be seen dead in a pair of heelies, they look really embarrasing as well, everyone looks at you :shock:

The instructions (yes, these shoes come with instructions) tell you clearly not to heely faster than you can walk, and they give clear advice on how to brake safely. There's nothing wrong with the heelys, just the careless way pople use them.
I have a pair and have only ever fallen off once, the first time I wore them. It's so much fun to come heelying down the hill opposite my house.
I agree with Patrick, they are like bikes - once you learn how to use them (and safely) they're heaps of fun =D

My boyf has scars all over his body from bike/cycling crashes too! He's never had to go to hospital tho.
Heelys look kinda fun  Lol. I mean one minute you're walking, then you lift up your toes and you're whizzing along! I've seen kids using them everywhere - airport terminals, Marks & Spencers...anywhere with a decent shiny floor. Thing is tho, that's probably the safest place to use them, coz on the roads and paths there's gravel and all sorts of bumps to trip over on. However I think it's kind of rude to use Heelys in shops and places - I mean you wouldn't ride your bike in M&S lol, so it becomes a bit of a dilemma. I've seen plenty of kids in school uniform wearing them...I don't understand how schools allow it...maybe they don't lol but coz they look so much like skate trainers it's unnoticeable. I've heard of several stories where kids have nearly (or did) get run over by cars when using their Heelys. Indeed they are dangeous, but then again life is dangeous - anything can happen to you in your daily life!! No one made a fuss about the micro scooter, I think adults are just jealous coz it's too embarrassing for them to wear them

Lmao I think my 7 year old cousin has those!! They were cool in the way that they had flashing LED lights on them, but they looked really stupid in all other ways - the wheels were huge ones like you get on real rollerblades and the way it strapped onto the foot didn't look very safe!

i went over the handlebars of my bike..in a road..and was knocked unconcious...so i went to hosp.
