2 weeks ago today (Sunday) I sold 298 items on swapitshop! I packaged them up and sent them in on Thursday morning (it took that long to package them up and buy stamps etc) 1st class
I emailed them on Monday night asking if they could confirm they'd received it as I'd wasted about £35 sending them in and they hadn't processed them yet.
I got an email back on Wednesday night saying they were reviewing my swaps because some of the stuff i had sent in was described as "rare poster" but could be obtained from popular magazines and they said that processing them would be unfair on other swappers.
Firstly - not all of the swaps were described as "rare" - in fact most of them WERE NOT!
Secondly - Just because some of the posters were described as rare but were from popular magazines does not mean they weren't rare because they were posters from 2003 - 4 yrs ago therefore quite difficult to get hold of!
AND now is 14 days later therefore ALL of the swaps I sent in can now be cancelled including the ones i didn't describe as "rare" which was most of them and my rating has already gone down from people cancelling them.
Also considering I sent them in on Thursday morning 1st class I'm guessing they arrived on Friday (within 5 days) therefore I should get 298 x 15 swapits as an early postage reward which is a total of 4470!
Personally I think they're being petty and I think the reason they haven't processed the swaps is because, if you imagine what its like to work there, it would be an extremely annoying piece of work processing 298 swaps at once - they probably can't be bothered and are quite annoyed that I sent that many things in one package!
My descriptions are usually quite clear (not as clear as they were when you had space to write more) and personally I don't think the word "rare" in a description would convince someone to buy it.
I am really upset that I've lost my rating, my early post reward, my swapits and my money I've spent posting these things!
Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Thats really unfair
You should phone them up tomorrow and really explain to them how its unfair you losing your swapits and your rating, not to mntion your money and time. They let stuff like that through all the time...
Ask them if its because theres so many and thye cant be bothered too ;)
I feel sorry for you How many werent processed? _________________

NOT ONE of them was processed - that's what's annoyed me so much! And hardly any of them were described as "rare"
I don't see why they can't process the rest of the swaps and then sort through the ones described as "rare" one by one! They're creating more work for themselves!
This is part of the email i sent them on Monday:
"Sorry to pester but I sent a pack of 298 (yes 298!) swaps in on Thursday first class but they still have not been processed on Monday - I understand that this must be quite an annoying piece of work, but I was hoping that you could confirm that you have received the package as it cost me over £30 in total to send."
then i described what the package looked like and give them my member number and 2 of the transaction numbers and this is the response i got:
"Hi there,
Thank you for your email.
I can confirm that we have received your package and are currently reviewing the swaps that are included. It has been noted that quite a few of the swaps are described as ‘rare poster’, although the posters that you have included are not rare and can be obtained from popular magazines. As this is misleading to Winners, we feel that processing them will be unfair to other members.
Please be patient as we work through your swaps and we will contact you again as soon as possible.
If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact us again.

They haven't actually "worked through" any of them though as none of them have been processed.
I replied as soon as I got the email politely saying that if the swaps weren't processed by Friday people would be able to cancel and explained how some of the magazines were from 4 years ago and I said I'd be more careful about how I listed swaps in future etc. but I received no email back and now people have started cancelling swaps and I'm losing out big-style.
My rating goes down by -3 every time someone cancels so I have quite a lot to lose - my rating was at 951 so if everyone who bought my stuff cancels (298 swaps) then I will lose 894 (298 x 3) off my rating which will take it to 57 which is a pretty drastic drop considering it is all over 1 single package I sent in to them.
It sounds like it definately is the fact that they can't be bothered to process all the swaps. Things like this have slipped through the net so many times before! _________________ PLEASE CLICK

Thats terrible :shock:
They dont work on weekends though so you should receive an email back tomorrow, if you dont, phone them up (02074712699). This is really pathetic from them.. they should know better really :?

At least they're getting it sorted but there's been one big fuss over nothing! And I didn't even know they had a Customer service manager - if he isnt in until Friday then wot does he do the rest of the week as theres only one swapitshop office!
I hope I get my swapits for the stuff that is cancelled as well. Do u think i will?
I'll let you know what happens on Friday with it - if anything!!

I hope you get your swapits back They should do something as it really isnt like them to cancel 298 swaps from someone all at once :shock: That would be extremely harsh..
Are they ALL posters? :? And have you actually received any negatives yet? :? _________________

a couple of months ago my lil sister decided to sell loads of pokemon cards, starting at 1 swapit, there were like over 150 cards, anyway when they were all won she packed them up and sent them in in one pack with all the transaction numbers, it never got processed, and her rating went really low, so she stopped using that account and opened a new one cos her rating was so bad. now she sells one thing at a time and makes sure they get processed before adding more stuff. _________________

they dont need to repackage them you send them in all packed up then in one big pack, so all they need to do is open the big pack and all the swaps are ready to send. _________________

Sorry for not updating in ages
No but they were all won by different people who I don't know - I wasn't transfering. I was suprised as many things sold but they were all low prices. All of the swaps have been cancelled now and I email swapitshop at least once a week without a reply since they told me they would refer it to the Customer Service Manager - i sent the stuff in back in September! If they haven't sent it to the buyers then I don't know what's happened to it, but they're ignoring my emails so there's nothing I can do! :-(
My rating has dropped so low now that I am a silver star swapper but I used to have a rating of 951 and had been a gold swapper for years. _________________ PLEASE CLICK

Hello,
I am sorry to hear that Swapitshop find your swaps to be found as "not as described". I am shocked to see Swapitshop acting like this. I am shocked to see that your rating has dropped from 951 to something like 25 now. I am sure that they said they would get rid of any negitive ratings on your account. I can remember once when i sent in 145 items to swapitshop- They ended up saying my items did not have enough stamps to cover the forwarding postage but i enclosed them and then they said the items were returned to me but i never got them back. My rating ended up dropping to -148 when the buyers were finished cancelling the items. I ended up getting so mad at them - I've had to start a brand new account and i am slowly getting back to the rating i was at. I am currently at 27 but i am going to be at about 109 in 2 weeks time. I am getting rid of all my envelopes with 2nd class stamps on them and i am going to swap my xbox 360 elite console soon.
Well i hope it's sorted for you asap.
